DPA 807 Gallery Story Reel Shots

I set up the shots for the gallery story. I’ve uploaded a few preview renders from the various scenes. These renders are lighting and material tests. There is no real animation yet.

Appy Shoes WIP3

I updated the geometry quite a bit, the soles were too big and the shoes had no bend outwards, added holes, did some UV’ing, restrung the laces, Normal map experimentation. I want to look into animating normal maps for bends next, that would be fun :).

Appy Clogger Texture WIP3

Not too much, updated some of the shaders not to be so blindingly shiny. Altered the beard. The first two versions look nicer but render way slower. For comparison, the more smooth beard took 6.5 minutes to render whereas the rough (and lacking alpha) beard took 0.5 minutes to render.

Appy Bride Texture WIP3

Another pass on the clogger’s corn husk bride. This time cut her up into a few ‘husks’, changed the color scheme a little, and painted some alpha transparencies at the ends of the husks. Also did a little bit of work on the hair.

Edit/Note: Yes, there are a few artifacts on the back of the hood and cape that need to be fixed.
